The business of logistics has evolved from a traditional
platform of warehousing and delivery services to one that
is high-octane and complex. The function of logistics has
today assumed the responsibilities associated with the whole
supply chain of any organization. It is a function that plans,
implements, and controls the efficient and effective forward
and reverse flow of goods, services, and related information
between the point of origin and the point of consumption in
order to meet customers' requirements, coupled with the necessary
storage requirements throughout the chain.
To streamline our logistics operations and to optimize our
solutions, we have delineated the supply chain into two distinct,
yet closely related activities. They are:
- Procurement Logistics, and
- Distribution Logistics.
